Yoga with Insiya

Insiya Rasiwala-Finn is a yogini and writer born and raised in Mumbai, India with the principles of Yoga and Ayurveda informing her life at an early age.  Today, Insiya lives between Vancouver and Ucluelet, Canada where she teaches Yoga and writes on wellness, ayurveda and green-living.

She has studied many lineages of yoga including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vijnana, the Yoga of Krishnamacharya, Vinyasa Krama, Hatha Yoga, Yin Yoga and alignment-based Power  Yoga.  Insiya has also studied dance and body-mind psychotherapy. She counts amongst her teachers well known yogis from India and the west including Eoin Finn, Shiva Rea, Gioia Irwin and Dr. Robert Svoboda; and body-mind psychotherapy teacher Susan Aposhyan. She utilizes her east-west perspective; a passion for learning; and the ability to apply the ancient wisdom and tools of Yoga to creating balance, holistic health and focus in our modern lives.

When not in Vancouver, Canada, Insiya travels and teaches workshops and retreats around the world with her husband and fellow yogi Eoin Finn.  She has taught Yoga in Japan, Bali, France, Costa Rica, Mexico, the USA and Canada.  She has also been involved with organizing the world’s first Yoga Festival, the Camp Moomba Yogathon + Blissfest since 2002 in Vancouver.

Community activism and the deep connection we hold for each other and towards our planet continually inspire her and she hopes to share her passion for evolution and life with her students.
